The position of your home’s power points often dictates where you can position your power recliner. Rechargeable power packs for recliners can free you from that, and unsightly cables too.
Battery Power Packs For Recliners
A battery power pack, is simply a rechargeable power source for your recliner or lift chair.
The reason for buying one is if you want to place your recliner away from where your wall power points are. And you don’t want an extension power cord running across the floor that could potentially be a trip hazard.
Or perhaps your power points or power boards are already full with plugs from your TV system, stereo and lamps etc.
How long do they last?
Most battery packs can be used for up to 300 cycles on a single charge. For your reference, the complete open and close of chair lift mechanism is 1 cycle.
For regular users, this equates to about a month’s use but that may change when the grandkids come over and ‘discover’ a wonderland of fun and games on your beloved recliner!
Depending on use, we recommend recharging your battery pack at least every four weeks. It generally takes about eight hours to charge so can be done overnight without any inconvenience.
If your recliner has a USB charge port that’s often used, or illuminating lights, the battery pack will need recharging more regularly. In such cases, it may be better to use a regular power source rather than battery power pack.
We offer replacement recliner parts on our online shop for customers all over Australia. Battery power packs are a smart purchase for all the reasons outlined above. If you feel you could benefit from one, see our range of power packs.
